North Cadbury
Ashlea House is located in the centre of the beautiful South Somerset village of North Cadbury close to the Arthurian hill fort of Camelot. North Cadbury is approx one mile to the north of the A303 south east/southwest trunk road and is perfectly situated as a halfway point between the South East of England and the far South West.
South Somerset is an excellent central point of the West Country, with so many places to go and things to see - many on our doorstep - or within a short drive
North Cadbury has an award winning village shop, inn and magnificent church and grounds. There is also a regular bus service through the village to Yeovil in the south, to Shepton Mallet in the north. The nearest train station is at Castle Cary, approx 4 miles distant (London, Paddington Line) or Sherborne, approx 8 miles distant (London Waterloo line).
There are many lovely walks close by, and several long distance trails pass through the village, e.g. the Leland Trail, Macmillan Way, the Monarch's way. North Cadbury is also on the route of the South Somerset 80 mile cycle route - part of the sustrans network, route 30.
